各位来宾，各位朋友：

大家好！首先请允许我介绍应邀出席今天庆祝新中建交40周年联欢会的嘉宾：

今天，我们汉密尔顿华人晚晴活动中心，新中友协，华联会，怀卡托中國学生学者联谊会和怀卡托華人學生會在中华人民共和国成立63周年国庆前夕和欢渡中秋佳节之际，联合举办庆祝新中建交40周年联欢会，各界朋友欢聚一堂，共同回顾40年来中国和新西兰两国人民间的深厚友谊和双边关系的累累硕果，展望两国关系未来的无限的广阔发展前景，我们由衷地感到高兴。此時中國正是秋高氣爽，作物果實累累的金秋，而新西蘭也正值春光明媚，百花爭艷，欣欣向榮的春天，這是一年四季中兩個最受人鐘愛的季節，讓我們懷著這種美好的感覺，熱烈地慶祝中新建交40週年，祝願中新兩國之間的友好關系和中新兩國人民之間的友誼，像秋天結碩果那樣結出累累碩果！此时此刻，我们为伟大祖国的繁荣昌盛感到无比自豪,为居住国新西兰的每一项发展欢呼雀跃。

40年前，1972年12月22日，中国和新西兰正式建立外交关系，两国领导人以非凡的远见卓识掀开了两国关系发展的新篇章。在人类的历史长河中，40年转瞬即逝，但是就在这短短40年间，中新关系不断走向成熟，已成为不同社会制度、不同文化背景、不同发展阶段国家和平共处、合作共赢的典范。两国关系能取得今天的丰硕成果，是两国政府和人民共同努力的结果，也离不开新西兰华侨华人的辛勤付出。我们华人晚晴活动中心的各位会员，在这40年中，都亲自见证了两国友好合作关系的发展，都亲自在中国和在新西兰，为两国的友好合作出谋献策，贡献过心力，中新关系发展有今天，也有我们一份，我们为此而感到自豪！



目前，新中关系正处在历史上最好时期。建交40年来，新中关系取得了长足发展，给两国人民带来了实实在在的好处,中国已成为新西兰第二大贸易伙伴。两国在各领域的交流与合作近年来不断迈上新台阶，为促进亚太地区和谐与繁荣做出了积极贡献。新西兰政府在今年2月份发布《中国战略》报告中，积极评价中国发展成就和新中各领域务实合作成果，并制定了未来5年发展对华关系的战略目标,将发展对华关系上升为“国家战略”。这充分体现了新西兰政府和各界对发展新中关系的重视和深化两国互利合作的愿望。站在新的起点上，回顾过去，展望未来，我们完全有理由相信，在两国政府和人民的共同努力下，新中关系的明天一定会更加美好！



在庆祝新中建交四十周年之际，让我们满怀信心携起手来，共同推动新中全面合作关系走向更高的水平和更广阔的领域而努力奋斗。谢谢各位!

Please join me in giving them a warm welcome. Thank you for coming to the celebration party with us.

Today we are here to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between New Zealand and China. As you know,

tomorrow happens to be the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival and the day after

tomorrow will be the Chinese National Day. We, Hamilton Chinese Golden Age

Society, New Zealand China Friendship Society, Waikato Chinese Association

and Waikato students and Scholars Association would like to jointly celebrate

these festivals, with friends from all walks of life. We gather together to jointly

review the profound friendship between the two peoples of China and New

Zealand in the past 40 years and the fruitful results of bilateral relations. We

are looking forward to the unlimited prospects for development between the

two countries in the future. Now in China it is Autumn while plants are bearing

heavy fruits under fine weather as in New Zealand Fruit trees are blossoming

in bright sunshine. Autumn and Spring are the best seasons of the year. We

have best feeling to celebrate the 40 years’ friendship between the two

countries and two peoples. We wish the friendship will blossom fully and bear

more fruitful results. We are very proud of the prosperity of our great

motherland and we cheer for every single development of New Zealand,

our second homeland.

Forty years ago, on December 22, 1972, China and New Zealand formally



established the diplomatic relations, which opened a new chapter in the



development of bilateral relations with extraordinary visionary. In the past 40



years, Sino-NZ relationships have become more mature, have been a win-win



model of peaceful co-existence and cooperation of countries with different



social systems, different cultural backgrounds, and with different stages of



development. The achievements that have been made are results of the joint



efforts of the two countries and their peoples, including the Chinese people in



New Zealand. We are very proud of being able to witness the development of



friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, and to make



contributions in our own way.



In the past 40 years, the relationship has made considerable progress and has



brought tangible benefits to the two peoples. China has become New



Zealand's second largest trading partner. The bilateral exchanges and



cooperation in various fields in recent years have reached a new level, and



have made a positive contribution to the harmony and prosperity in the



Asia-Pacific region. China Strategy that was released in February this year by



New Zealand Government comments positively on China's development



achievements and the pragmatic cooperation in various fields. NZ government



has developed the strategic objectives for the next five years in regards to



relations with China, and regards further developing NZ-China relations as a



national strategy. This fully reflects the great importance that New Zealand



government pays on this relationship and a desire to deepen the mutually



beneficial cooperation between the two countries. Standing on a new starting



point while reflecting on the past, we have every reason to believe that with the



joint efforts of the two governments and peoples, the relationship tomorrow will



be even better!



On such an occasion let us confidently join hands and work hard to jointly



promote the new comprehensive cooperation to a higher level and to a



broader field.
