Australian and New Zealand Army Corps被称为澳新军团日或者澳纽军团日,这个节日是为了纪念在1915425日,在加里波利之战中牺牲的澳大利亚和新西兰军团,简称为澳新或者澳纽军团。

ANZAC Day

Friday, 25 April 2014
Cenotaph, Memorial Drive
Hamilton East

Anzac Day is a national day of commemoration observed on 25 April each year.

It commemorates those who died serving New Zealand during war and it honours returned servicemen and women, past and present.

25 April marks the day in 1915 when Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) landed at Gallipoli in Turkey.

Since the first commemorative services in 1916, Anzac Day has evolved into the observance we know today, with Kiwis of all ages attending services and events across New Zealand and the world.

We honour the Anzac values of courage, compassion, camaraderie, and commitment.
