今天是一个晴空万里的日子，也是一个欢乐吉祥的日子！来自汉密尔顿市的华侨华人们，欢聚一堂，共同庆祝华人社团:晚晴成立十周年！

Hello, everyone!
Today is a sunny day, but also a happy and auspicious day! The overseas Chinese from Hamilton are gathering here to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the founding of the Hamilton Chinese Golden Age Society .
今天，新西兰国会议员，汉密尔顿市政府，各基金会，新中友协，怀卡托周报，中新时报，各社会团体，等嘉宾，也在百忙中，应邀莅临庆祝会现场致贺！为此，请允许我，代表晚晴理事会和全体会员，表示最热烈的欢迎和衷心的感谢！
We are glad to have guests from NZ M.Ps, Mayor and Councilors from the Hamilton City Council, Trustees from several trust organizations, and friends from the New Zealand China Friendship Association, Waikato Weekly, the China New Zealand Times, and other social organizations who have been invited to attend our tenth anniversary celebration. Allow me, on behalf of the Committee of our society and all members, to express our warmest welcome and heartfelt thanks!
斗转星移，光阴似箭！转眼之间，晚晴成立十周年了！回顾晚晴从无到有，从小到大的十年历程，晚晴人付出了辛勤劳动，取得了可喜的成就，也获得了令人欣慰的收益。
Time flies as stars turn! Just in a twinkle, it was the tenth anniversary of the founding of our society! Looking back on the past, when our society grew out of nothing and developed from small to large, we can see great contributions and achievements made by our members and benefits obtained for everyone of us.
1，遵循为中老年华侨华人朋友服务的宗旨，实现“老有所学，老有所乐，老有所为，老有所依”的工作目标，积极探索适合中老年自身特点的活动内容和活动方式，使每一位会员，都可以根据自己的条件和兴趣爱好，自愿选择参加每周两天的日常活动。例如:唱歌，跳舞，太极，健身，交谊舞，广场舞，书法练习，棋牌类游戏等。特别在近期，又为大家开办了一个”兴趣交流”活动室，全面广泛地开展各种兴趣爱好活动。例如:自我养生保健，饮食与健康，旅游体验，文学交流，厨艺介绍，蔬菜水果的种植与管理经验等。此外，还多次邀请各方面的专家，学者来进行“专题讲座”，既增加了大家的知识，也极大地丰富了中老年人的生活。
Following the aim of serving our the aged Chinese to realize the goal of keeping learning，being happy，doing a bit and being reliable while ageing", we actively explored the types of activities suitable for the elderly so that each member, according to their own conditions and interests, could choose to participate in such as: singing, dancing, Taichi, fitness, ballroom dance, square dance, calligraphy practice, chess and card games. Recently, we opened an "interest exchange" activity room to carry out a wide range of activities for example: self-health care, diet and health, travel experiences, literature exchange, culinary introduction, vegetable and fruit planting and management experience. In addition, many experts and scholars were invited to give "special lectures", which not only increased our knowledge, but also greatly enriched the life of the listeners.
2，突出了关爱高龄老人的工作重点。在普遍关注老年朋友的同时，专门组建了以郭冰和王庆邦为首的“关爱小组”。悉心关照高龄，多病，无助的老人，多年来长期坚持，从未间断。仅今年春节期间，就发动会员对30多位80岁以上老人进行家访，並召开了“80岁以上老人新春联欢会”使老人们充分感受到了“家”的温暖！
The focus of the work on caring for the elderly is highlighted. A caring group headed by Bing Guo and Qingbang Wang was set up and they continuously visit and provide care for members who are sick or infirm. During the Spring Festival this year alone, members were mobilized to make home visits to more than 30 elderly members aged over 80 years old, and, we held an 80 year old’s party at which about fifty members experienced a happy and joyful time.
3，始终不渝地传承和弘扬中华文化。每逢元旦，春节，元宵，端午，中秋，国庆，重阳等中国传统节日，理事会都会根据大家的兴趣爱好，以自娱自乐的方式，组织各种形式，丰富多彩的联欢会，庆祝会，团拜会，座谈会等，以及多种趣味的游艺活动，使晚晴会员朋友，虽然身处異国他鄉，也同样能欢乐地度过中华民族的传统节日。
We strive to keep Chinese traditional cultural customs alive. Whenever New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Lanterns’ Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day, Double-ninth Festival and other traditional Chinese festivals are held, we, according to the interests and hobbies of our members, organize various kinds of parties and celebrations to mark these occasions. Group meetings, symposia, and various interesting entertainment activities, thus making it possible for our Chinese members to enjoy traditional festivals even though they are in a foreign country and enriching NZ multiculture.
4，参与当地主流社会生活。为了加強新中友谊，始终以饱满的热情，积极参加新西兰各级政府，各社会团体与各族群所组织的，有利于增进新中友谊的活动。例如:每年的“怀唐伊纪念日”庆祝活动，晚晴都与当地族群一起，参加了集会演出等纪念活动。在汉密尔顿市政府组织的“Indigo”多元文化节游园活动中，晚晴更是“一馬当先”，组成了四个方队，走在队伍的最前列，是参加人员最多，队伍最壮观，最吸引人的队伍！每年，无论是”新西兰多元文化委员会”组织的“怀卡托秀”活动，还是“新中友协”组织的“新年晚会”等，晚晴都应邀参加了演出。晚晴作为一个慈善团体，还经常到当地多个“安养院”和”敬老院”进行慰问演出，受到社会各界的欢迎和好评。
We take every opportunity to participate in local mainstream social life. In order to strengthen New Zealand-China friendship, we have always actively and enthusiastically participated in community events organized by local government, various social organizations and ethnic groups. For example, in each year's "Waitangi Day" celebrations, together with the local community, we share in commemorative activities. In the "Indigo" multicultural festival organized by the Hamilton municipal government, the Chinese contingent "lead the way" and, as a biased observer notes, walked in the forefront of the ranks with the largest number of participants and the most spectacular and most attractive team! Every year, both at the "Waikato Show" organized by the New Zealand Multicultural Council and in the "New Year's Party" organized by the New Zealand Friendship Association we provide cultural performances. As a further contribution to the community, members visit "rest homes" and "homes for the aged" to perform and bring cheer to the residents.
5，主动与其他社会团体配合，活跃华侨华人的文化体育生活。对于“彩虹华社”主办的，一年一度的“哈密尔顿华人运动会”，晚晴作为协办单位，负责其中的”长青趣味竞赛”项目，多次受到主办方的表扬与鼓励！每年，”怀卡托周报”举办的大型“中秋晚会”和“元宵节灯会”以及华人社区的“圣诞节大游行”也都盛情邀请晚晴参加。使晚晴与社会各团体的合作，更加亲密！
We cooperate with other social organizations to encourage the cultural and sports life of overseas Chinese. The annual "Hamilton Chinese Games," is sponsored by the Rainbow Chinese Society. Our Society is a co-organizer running the "Evergreen Fun Competition Project” which has been praised enthusiastically by the sponsor! Every year, Waikato Weekly hosts a large-scale Mid-Autumn Festival Party, andthe Lantern Festival Fair and the Christmas Parade for the Chinese community. We aways play a very important in these activities in which we strengthen relationships and cooperation with other social groups.
6，长期坚持英语教学，提高与当地各族群人们相互沟通文流和自身生活的能力。十年来，在最初晚晴人自己开设“英语班”的基础上，近期又与“怀卡托教育学院”联合举办”初，中，高”三个“晚晴英语班”，满足了不同程度英语水平会员的需要。此外，晚晴並多次组织到外地旅游参观，欣赏新西兰独特的自然美景，並进一步瞭解了当地丰富多彩的民族文化遗产，以便更好地融入当地社会。
We encourage our members to learn English to overcome language isolation and empower them to interact with the wider community. In the past ten years, on the basis of setting up "English classes" by the people themselves, members have recently jointly organized three English classes (early, middle and advanced) with the Waikato Institute of Education, to address different English proficiency levels. In addition, the Society has organized many local tours to enjoy the unique natural beauty of New Zealand and to further understand the rich and colorful cultural heritage of the local people so as to better integrate into the local society.
7，重视宣传报导工作，扩大了对外的知名度和影响力。十年来，晚晴每一届理事会，都很重视对外宣传工作，本届理事会，组建了以祕书长严慧芬为首的“宣传报导组”，並邀请了李元松，裘福春，朱明元，鲍培松，郭冰，郑文星，孙传生，乔多福，冯伯森等老师加盟，以攝影，录像，文稿等多种形式，积极宣传晚晴开展的各项活动，报导有关的好人好事，及时更新“晚晴博客”，确保方向正确，内容丰富，提升正能量，並及时与当地新闻媒体:“怀卡托周报”，“中新时报”，“天维网”等密切合作，使晚晴成为广为传播的慈善团体。
To expand its external visibility and influence the Society has recognized the importance of publicity and reporting. The Committee has set up a "Publicity and Reporting Group" headed by Secretary General Huifen Yan , and Yuansong Li, Fuchun Qiu ,Mingyuang Zhu ,Peisong Bao, Bing Guo and Wanxing Zheng, Chuansheng Sun, Duofu Qiao, Besen Fen, and others who have joined, to actively publicize the various activities carried out by the Society in the form of photographs, videos and manuscripts and to report on good people and good deeds, They also update the Society’s web page which is accessed by many thousands. Contributions, rich in content and positive energy, are published with the co-operation of local news media - Waikato Weekly, China Times, Tianwei net, etc.
8，不断筹集必要的经费，为保障各项活动的正常开展提供资金支持。尤其从去年以来，组成以晚晴常务顾问朱明元为首的“经费申请小组”，並聘请了Robbie先生和Angela女士等协助，有效地开展工作，成绩显著！彻底扭转了经费困难的局面，保证了各项活动的正常进行。
The Society continues to attempt to raise the necessary funds to maintain its programmes and operations. In particular, since last year, a "funding application group" headed by Mingyuan Zhu, the executive adviser was formed, with Mr. Robbie and Ms. Angela providing assistance in carrying out this task effectively; with remarkable achievements and the current reversal of previous funding difficulties.. We acknowledge with gratitude the financial support received from the Hamilton City Council, the Lottery Trust, the Bryant, Len Reynolds, Tindall and WEL Energy Trusts, the Norah Howell Charitable Trust, Trust Waikato, Creative Waikato, funding through Internal Affairs and donors notably the Waikato Institute of Education and the Chinese Consulate.
9，修改“晚晴章程”，使各项工作有章可依，有据可循，有条不紊地进行。去年组织了以鲍培松，王庆邦，孙传生等为主的“晚晴章程修改小组”进行了长达半年多时间的，艰苦细致的修订工作，多次开会讨论，广泛征求会员意见，结合晚晴九年来的工作活动实践与经验教训，取得了共识。修改后的章程，获得了”晚晴特别会员大会”的全票通过。 常言道:一份耕耘，一份收获。晚晴人坚持十年如一日，不忘初心，不懈努力，在华人社会及当地主流社会中，产生了积极的影响，得到了应有的尊重与肯定。2016年，晚晴被誉为“促进社区间对话，以及多元文化发展方面，所做的杰出的，活跃的华人团体”。2016年11月3日，新西兰总理:约翰.基，向“晚晴”颁发了“荣誉证书”。2017年6月 晚晴又被批准为汉密尔顿唯一的一个“华人慈善团体”。晚晴真诚地付出了自己的一份耕耘，但却获得了十分的收获和荣誉！
The articles of our society have been revised this year so that all work can be carried out in an orderly manner and according to the rules. Last year a group, mainly composed of Pei-song Bao, Qingbang Wang, Chuansheng Sun , and others, was organized to carry out more than half a year of painstaking and meticulous revision work. They met many times for discussion and extensively solicited the opinions of members. Combined with nine years of work activities, experience.In 2016, the Society was praised as "promoting dialogue among communities," since its founding. , lessons learned, a consensus has been reached. The revised articles of association were approved by the full vote of a Special General Meeting. As the saying goes: a hard work, a harvest. The Society has made unremitting efforts to make a positive impact in our Chinese community, on multiculturalism in mainstream society and gained due respect and recognition. On November 3, 2016, New Zealand Prime Minister: John. Key, issued a certificate to honor our Society and we were approved as Hamilton's only Chinese charity in June 2017. The Society has completed hard work sincerely and has obtained the very harvest and the honour!!!
简述晚晴十年历史成就，使我们深切地感到:晚晴今天这样一个良好的局面是来之不易的。首先，我们日益强大的偉大祖国，给于了我们巨大的精神支持与鼓舞，使广大华侨华人在海外的社会地位越来越高，越来越被人所尊重！我们的第二故鄉新西兰，特别是晚晴所在地:汉密尔顿市政府和有关部门，从各个方面给于了关心和支持。中国驻奥克兰总领事馆，不仅到汉密尔顿市现场办公，直接为华侨华人服务，並给晚晴工作给于指导和关心。各基金会和各社会团体在工作和资金方面给于了巨大的帮助！这些成绩，也是各届理事会，各活动小组和全体会员，齐心协力，共同努力的结果！
A brief account of ten years of achievements, setbacks and challenges has made us think that such a good situation as we have today is not without its costs. The good situation we have reached can be attributed first of all to the growing influence of the great motherland which has given us tremendous spiritual support and inspiration, so that the vast number of overseas Chinese have gained social status and respect! Secondly we have received recognition and support from the Hamilton City Council and other government agencies in establishing a second home.Thirdly the support provided by the Chinese Consulate General in Auckland who not only works in Hamilton, but also serves overseas Chinese directly. Fourthly foundations and social groups have given us great help in terms of work and funding! Finally our achievements are also the result of the concerted efforts of the Committees, the various activity groups and all members!
各位会员朋友们，在庆祝晚晴十周年生日的时候，我们有理由，有信心，憧憬未来的美好愿景，始终抓住为中老年朋友服务这根主线，学习继承十年来的宝贵经验，不断改进和丰富各项活动，把晚晴建成华侨华人欢乐和睦的大家庭。我们要积极弘扬中华传统文化，珍惜新中两国人民的偉大友谊，适度参与当地社会活动，主动融入主流社会，为华侨华人争光！为我们偉大的祖国尽绵薄之力。晚晴的明天，一定会更加美好！
Dear members, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we have reason, confidence and vision for the future. We have maintained the essential purpose of the Society - supporting and serving elderly Chinese in our community.We have learned to incorporate the valuable experiences of the past ten years so that we can constantly improve and enrich our activities and so build a happy and harmonious family of overseas Chinese. We should actively carry forward the traditional Chinese culture, cherish the great friendship between Chinese people, participate in local social activities appropriately, take the initiative to integrate into the mainstream society, and win honor for the overseas Chinese. Do your best for our great motherland. A fine tomorrow will certainly be better！

8，不断筹集必要的经费，为保障各项活动的正常开展提供资金支持。尤其从去年以来，组成以晚晴常务顾问朱明元为首的“经费申请小组”，並聘请了Robbie先生和Angela女士等协助，有效地开展工作，成绩显著！彻底扭转了经费困难的局面，保证了各项活动的正常进行。
The Society continues to attempt to raise the necessary funds to maintain its programmes and operations. In particular, since last year, a "funding application group" headed by Mingyuan Zhu, the executive adviser was formed, with Mr. Robbie and Ms. Angela providing assistance in carrying out this task effectively; with remarkable achievements and the current reversal of previous funding difficulties.. We acknowledge with gratitude the financial support received from the Hamilton City Council, the Lottery Trust, the Bryant, Len Reynolds, Tindall and WEL Energy Trusts, the Norah Howell Charitable Trust, Trust Waikato, Creative Waikato, funding through Internal Affairs and donors notably the Waikato Institute of Education and the Chinese Consulate.
9，修改“晚晴章程”，使各项工作有章可依，有据可循，有条不紊地进行。去年组织了以鲍培松，王庆邦，孙传生等为主的“晚晴章程修改小组”进行了长达半年多时间的，艰苦细致的修订工作，多次开会讨论，广泛征求会员意见，结合晚晴九年来的工作活动实践与经验教训，取得了共识。修改后的章程，获得了”晚晴特别会员大会”的全票通过。 常言道:一份耕耘，一份收获。晚晴人坚持十年如一日，不忘初心，不懈努力，在华人社会及当地主流社会中，产生了积极的影响，得到了应有的尊重与肯定。2016年，晚晴被誉为“促进社区间对话，以及多元文化发展方面，所做的杰出的，活跃的华人团体”。2016年11月3日，新西兰总理:约翰.基，向“晚晴”颁发了“荣誉证书”。2017年6月 晚晴又被批准为汉密尔顿唯一的一个“华人慈善团体”。晚晴真诚地付出了自己的一份耕耘，但却获得了十分的收获和荣誉！
The articles of our society have been revised this year so that all work can be carried out in an orderly manner and according to the rules. Last year a group, mainly composed of Pei-song Bao, Qingbang Wang, Chuansheng Sun , and others, was organized to carry out more than half a year of painstaking and meticulous revision work. They met many times for discussion and extensively solicited the opinions of members. The revised articles of association were approved by the full vote of a Special General Meeting. As the saying goes: a hard work, a harvest. The Society has made unremitting efforts to make a positive impact in our Chinese community, on multiculturalism in mainstream society and gained due respect and recognition. On November 3, 2016, New Zealand Prime Minister: John. Key, issued a certificate to honor our Society and we were approved as Hamilton's only Chinese charity in June 2017. The Society has completed hard work sincerely and has obtained the very harvest and the honour!!!
简述晚晴十年历史成就，使我们深切地感到:晚晴今天这样一个良好的局面是来之不易的。首先，我们日益强大的偉大祖国，给于了我们巨大的精神支持与鼓舞，使广大华侨华人在海外的社会地位越来越高，越来越被人所尊重！我们的第二故鄉新西兰，特别是晚晴所在地:汉密尔顿市政府和有关部门，从各个方面给于了关心和支持。中国驻奥克兰总领事馆，不仅到汉密尔顿市现场办公，直接为华侨华人服务，並给晚晴工作给于指导和关心。各基金会和各社会团体在工作和资金方面给于了巨大的帮助！这些成绩，也是各届理事会，各活动小组和全体会员，齐心协力，共同努力的结果！
A brief account of ten years of achievements, setbacks and challenges has made us think that such a good situation as we have today is not without its costs. The good situation we have reached can be attributed first of all to the growing influence of the great motherland which has given us tremendous spiritual support and inspiration, so that the vast number of overseas Chinese have gained social status and respect! Secondly we have received recognition and support from the Hamilton City Council and other government agencies in establishing a second home.Thirdly the support provided by the Chinese Consulate General in Auckland who not only works in Hamilton, but also serves overseas Chinese directly. Fourthly foundations and social groups have given us great help in terms of work and funding! Finally our achievements are also the result of the concerted efforts of the Committees, the various activity groups and all members!
各位会员朋友们，在庆祝晚晴十周年生日的时候，我们有理由，有信心，憧憬未来的美好愿景，始终抓住为中老年朋友服务这根主线，学习继承十年来的宝贵经验，不断改进和丰富各项活动，把晚晴建成华侨华人欢乐和睦的大家庭。我们要积极弘扬中华传统文化，珍惜新中两国人民的偉大友谊，适度参与当地社会活动，主动融入主流社会，为华侨华人争光！为我们偉大的祖国尽绵薄之力。晚晴的明天，一定会更加美好！
Dear members, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we have reason, confidence and vision for the future. We have maintained the essential purpose of the Society - supporting and serving elderly Chinese in our community.We have learned to incorporate the valuable experiences of the past ten years so that we can constantly improve and enrich our activities and so build a happy and harmonious family of overseas Chinese. We should actively carry forward the traditional Chinese culture, cherish the great friendship between Chinese people, participate in local social activities appropriately, take the initiative to integrate into the mainstream society, and win honor for the overseas Chinese. Do your best for our great motherland. A fine tomorrow will certainly be better！
